Maddy, Scoops and Rosie back in competition

At the start of February I took Scoops out to his first competition since November and it went very well. We competed in the 90cm arena event at Weston Lawns and came away with 4 faults in the showjumping and a clear round in the cross country phase!

Although the faults meant we were pushed out of the placings, I was very pleased to get back out there and come over the finish line smiling.

The weekend after we went to the British Riding Clubs 100cm winter qualifiers at Solihull Riding Club. Scoops jumped superbly in both rounds, in the first round we just had a pole and in the second round we were set up for a lovely clear but unfortunately Scoops took a disliking to the last fence which had been causing problems all day.

However this didn’t put a dampener on our spirits as Scoops still jumped fabulously and it was our first 100cm competition since October.

For Rosie, there has been lots of training and preparing for the BRC Arena Eventing National Championships this weekend which I’m very excited for. As long as we start and finish smiling I’ll be over the moon.
